Cash is here! He made his arrival on June 14th at 5:07pm. He weighed 5pounds 15 ounces, 19 inches long of straight perfection! I didn't know what that feeling of looking at my son for the first time would feel like, it was undescribable! Here is my husband that I love with all my heart and we made this precious little blonde haired boy.
I spend my days welcoming guest into my home that wants to see Cash. When people aren't here I am constantly stuffing my boob in his mouth, I'm starting to feel like a 10 cent cheaper gas pump. I feed, burp, change diaper and hand off to the next smiling face coming thru the door! We are getting alot faster, which is a must when changing a boys diaper! Cash has already peed in his own mouth, which I instantly laughed my butt off then ran to babycenter.com and made sure this would not kill him or make his teeth come in like wolf teeth or some other crazy side effect of gargling your own pee. Just in case you were wondering, he is going to be fine!
I have learned (not completely learned but I'm like 30% smarter in the mommy school then before). At night you don't have to feel his chest every 10mins to make sure he hasn't suffocated on his "breathable" positioner, so the timer can be put back in the kitchen! No the doctor didn't chop off his whole penis when he was circumcised. Feeding him a bottle that I previously pumped isn't going to make him not latch on. Rushing to take a shower because I'm afraid im going to miss something, isn't necessary. Clay informed me that I'm starting to smell, to take longer showers.
So he is 10 days old today and he is just as breakable today then he was 10 days ago. Clay has been at work all week and we have really missed him. Since Saturday is Clays birthday and Wednesday is our anniversary I thought Cash and I would take the day and go try to find a gift for daddy. I started at 10 to gather all the stuff I thought I might possibly need for a 40 min adventure out on the town. It took 30mins to find the perfect outfit just in case anyone saw us, and wanted to hire him for the next Gerber baby. Fed him, burped him, changed his diaper. Got 3 frozen milk packages out of the fridge just in case, idk walmart had a emergency lock down situation...i would have a well feed baby for at least a couple of hours. which is kinda silly because i am breast feeding and you cant really leave these babies at home. filled the diaper bag with 10 diapers, but i took one out because i thought 10 was alittle obsessive. I'm ready, baby is ready, Kahne is in his kennel...we are ready. Pick up baby, which seems to weigh 9 pounds due to him being water logged. Crap, how did this happen...did I forget his diaper? Nope, it was still there...but with a boy you have to point his sprayer toward the diaper (the pediatrician informed me I wouldn't break it), this way the pee goes in the diaper not out the top like the dancing fountain show at the Mirage in Vegas. well we got the show. a not as cute outfit later, we are on our way. well kinda, i get half way down the driveway and decide to go back up and grab that 10th diaper. I was not going to dare devil this trip. and were off!
I pulled over 3 times to check on him between my maybe 3 mile trip to walmart, he was choking i was sure of it! But by the time i got pulled over, checked the lock 3 times to make sure i wasn't locking him in the car alone...he had unclogged his throat and was sound asleep, what a smart kid I have. I get a front role parking spot at walmart, so you just know your day must get better! A little nervous I get out, again check the doors...i don't know when my car started locking on its own, but I sure wasn't going to let it with my honey in it! we are out of the car. should i get a cart outside or inside? Inside its too hot out here. New carts??? Crap, I don't think my car seat is going to fit on the front of the cart. yes, I see 4 people that has successfully got theirs to fit...but not mine!!! My car seat sucks...such a lard ass! So I didn't want to chance it so I just put him in the big part. He was good. Here comes this old man, ALL up in his face. Wow how little...be careful with him, he said! REALLY, be careful with him??? I could have ran over his toe with my cart. If I get any more careful, my child is going to turn into a flower! The trip, is over...I didn't die nor did my son.
For the next 5 years I think I'm just going to keep my butt in Ridgewood...but I keep smellin smoke in my dining room so we now might have to move. :) Everyone should become mommies, it is way fun, can you tell? Got to get back to staring at my baby, just in case he does something cute.
Until next time Peace Love n little Beyonce to lift your spirits.
